The Busan Grand Bridge links Yeongdo with the mainland along with the Yeongdo Grand Bridge. It is used to transport the products produced in Yeongdo area, which is growing rapidly with the development of shipbuilding industry and new port.
This bridge was the first 3-span continuous arch bridge built. It took 40 months from October 1976 to Jan. 30, 1981 to build the bridge.
It was built with Korea's own technology and material. The 260m long 20m wide bridge with 4 lanes is connected to the pier road (Chungjangno) by an elevated road.
