Since the opening of the First Happy Yeongdo Light Festival of Hope in 2007 to relay lights and hope to residents by overcoming social and economical difficulties, the Happy Yeongdo Light Festival of Hope became the festival of light and hope in Winter and created space to share love, happiness, hope at Gu Office, 75 Square and Busan Bridge, the entrance to Yeongdo, with the theme of "Sharing".

This is a festival representing winter relaying warm light of love enjoyed by the local residents, tourists since operated in a season when there is not many festivals.

The plan is to create an excursion course for winter for lovers and family by creating zones with themes of light on Jeolyoung Scenic Drive.
